
The Youth Resolution Get Kids Movin’! initiative aims to prevent childhood obesity and is spearheaded by 9-year-old inspirational rapper Chi Chi Monet, Sports Zone, the original DC Sneaker Store and Think Brown INK, a creative agency that focuses on cause communications for entertainers and entrepreneurs. This ongoing program creates a community of health-conscience children who participate in active afternoons of excercise and fashion.

- The Presidential Inaugural edition of Get Kids Movin’! was held January 19, 2013 at Beltway Plaza Mall in Greenbelt, Maryland. The overall program was inspired by First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” Campaign and featured dance instruction with LelaBelle’s Dance Studio, healthy eating discussions by Green Tea and Elana Jenkins of Funkiedo, performances by Reesa Renee, Chi Chi Monet and Green Tea, skits from Dreams Work, Inc. youth and a kids fashion show featuring sneakers by Sports Zone and clothing by Rainbow. - Get Kids Movin! Launch Event On November 17, 9-year-old Inspirational Rapper/Singer Chi Chi Monet partnered with Sports Zone Elite (Forestville) for “MOVIN!” a kids sneaker show and childhood obesity prevention event, co-hosted by Soul Singer Reesa Renee with music by DJ Heat of WPGC 95.5 FM. The afternoon was a fun time for all the kids and parents in attendance. Chi Chi Monet performed her hit single “No Bully” and debuted her upcoming release, “Move” – a song that encourages kids to stay active and healthy. The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at George Washington University, Brandy Walker, also led the kids through a fun workout session prior to the sneaker show.
